What was the first album you ever purchased?
I think it was the Red Hot Chili Peppers – Fight Like a Brave Remix 12” – Odd, I know.

What would you do if given 24 hours to live?
Be kinda sad, probably. I’d spend it with my wife and daughter reminiscing about the good times we’ve had.

What band do you wish would reunite?
The Minutemen. But D. Boon would have to be alive again <sniff>

Who would you most like to be with (dead or alive)?
Odd question, if by “be with” you mean like “BE with”. SKIP

What holiday do you like the most? The least?
I like Christmas a lot. As much as I hate to admit it, I don’t really care for Halloween as much as everyone else in the world does. I love Fall, but I don’t get into dressing up and decorating and stuff. Not since I was like 10. I guess that means I’m comfortable with myself, and don’t have to hide behind some hockey mask or something. RIGHT? ha ha

What is your least favorite color in the 64-crayon pack?
Probably White. Most coloring books were printed on white paper, Crayola. Pay attention!

If you could meet any male musician who would it be (dead or alive)?
I've met alot of the people that I've seen live. I always try to talk to them at shows. I've met Mike Watt, John McEntire, Will Oldham, Beans and way back when they were kinda cool (were they?), I met Flea and Anthony. I've still got some people I'd like to meet, but I'd rather spend more time with them than chatting at a show.

If you could meet any female musician who would it be (dead or alive)?
Janis Joplin, when she was really young, so I could persuade her to never become a "musician".

Knight Rider, Silver Spoons, I used to LOVE the Flintstones too.

If you were a high school teacher, what subject would you like to teach?
Social Studies. Kidding.. Computer skillz. That’s a class right?

Where did you grow up and for how long have you lived in Louisville?
I grew up in Paducah, Kentucky. Went to Murray State University and have lived in Louisville since ’96 I think.

Name a favorite book or story.
Catcher in the Rye. Everyone’s favorite. I typically don’t read a lot. Either software manuals, or child-rearin’ books. I've been into downloading audiobooks lately from audible.com. The last one I got and really liked was David Sedaris' new one, "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim".

What would your power be if you were a super-hero?
To be invisible, or to be able to appear anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye

Boxers, briefs, or panties?
Boxers

What song do you wish you had written?
Anything by Don Caballero or Battles. How is that stuff written?

What band (besides Reading) would you like to be in (present or past bands included)?
Don Caballero (past band, unfortunately). Don’t think I’ll be replacing Mr. Che anytime soon, though. It would take too many years of practice.

What was you first “real” concert/show?
The Dead Milkmen @ Bogart’s in Cinci. Drove all the way from Paducah. I think I was a Sophomore in HS.

Name one band you are embarrassed to have liked.
Rage Against the Machine, maybe. They’re at least talented, though.

What is your one guilty musical pleasure?
“Jumpin’ Jumpin’” by Destiny’s Child and “Are You That Somebody” by Aaliyah. Cool beats get me every time. Damnit.

I think about 1988 maybe? Man, I feel old.

Uh. NO. If the occasion ever arises, I cringe and usually walk away. FAST.

Yes, a 2nd generation 20 GB. There are 520 artists on it. I doubt you would really wanna see them all. But the artists who take up the most space are Will Oldham, Tortoise, Trans Am, Ui, Iron & Wine, Charles Mingus, Dead Milkmen, Fugazi, Husker Du, Jesus Lizard, Beastie Boys, Minutemen, Pavement, Rachel’s, Sea and Cake, Shellac, Superchunk, and Thelonious Monk. Either prolific artists or my favorites.

The who said that, “The Kids Are Alright”. Do you agree with this statement?
Who said that? Yeah, I guess they're alright, but mine’s the coolest.
